- Writing a good summary
- Developing arguments, and anticipating and refuting counter-arguments
- Constructive peer review
- Crafting a concise thesis statement
- Using word choice to alter tone and style
Linguistics:
- Introductory linguistics topics, including subfields of linguistics, descriptivism vs. prescriptivism, and linguistic relativity
- Minority language representation (for example, "eye dialect")

Responsibilities:
- Designing and planning course and all materials
